Simon Vojdani of Five Palms Restaurant opened up his lawn-on-the-sea … and his kitchen … and his bar … once more for the hundreds of Maui business owners and entrepreneurs ready to socialize and network.

For just $10 Maui’s smartest networkers dug into heavy pupus and two drinks (virgin or non-virgin), plus the astonishing sunset view from the prettiest location on the island. Ahhhh … bliss …

… and DJ Del Sol once again deployed his considerable talent to provide a soundtrack for our get-together.

Door Prizes! Door Prizes!

Several local businesses donated door prizes worth hundreds of dollars, including:

Make Over Madness at Salon 253

Adiel Sneary has been Maui’s favorite stylist for years, and she’s just opened up her very own salon, which makes her an official Maui business owner, to boot. No wonder she celebrated by contributing a $150 Make Over at Salon 253. Maui Mixers held their breath, hoping to get this one!

You’ll Be a Star with In Touch Video Services

Dan Bardenhagen makes you and your business look good with his In Touch Video service. Two lucky Maui Mixers each won a $115 video package service from Dan.

Get Even More Beautiful at MediSpa Maui

The lovely and talented Kristina Beverung from MediSpa Maui came bearing two $125 gift certificates … which meant that not one, but TWO Maui Mixers have become more even more beautiful since that fabulous evening. Thank you, Kristina!

OmmmMaui Zen Day Spa

Sheryl Matson of heavenly Maui Zen Day Spa brought a little bit of heaven with her: a gift certificate for a Spa Day with Facial and Massage worth $170. Sigh.

Endangered Lamp Saved by Maui Mixer

David Ross always has an impish gleam in his eye. Perhaps its because he gets to visit the island’s most fabulous homes and bring their treasures back to his wildly upscale store, Endangered Pieces. He brought a rare treasure to this Maui Mixer: a tiny golfer who apparently spent too much time on the green, was trapped in bronze, and turned into a lamp worth $150.

And Now, Have a Fatboy Burger

Joanne Noruzi of The Wailea Group is one clever marketer. She knows the way to Maui Mixers’ heart is through the stomach. Her $25 gift certificate to Fat Boy Burger caused more than one Mixer mouth to water.

When’s the next Maui Mixer? End of June, our sources say. Whispers are that it will be in Central Maui. Be there or be square.

Here’s a fantastic video of this event, made by HawaiionTV … check it out.
